Found this cute little suitcase on sale at Hobby Lobby and am storing one of my projects in it.Found this spinning organizer thing at Harbor Freight. It was black and I didn't want that, so I tried to spray paint it. That made me realize that spray painting is a nightmare, so I just did the dividers, and then I decoupaged each tray with a different fabric.DH and DS made me a ladder for all my completed tops that have yet to be quilted. Having them where I am constantly looking at them gives me incentive to complete them (at least that's the plan!).A jigsaw puzzle that my DS bought for me for my birthday in February. As you can see, I worked diligently to complete it because I knew it would go in my new room!Alex cabinets from Ikea. We got two long table tops for the top and my DH made a hole for my sewing machine. I tried to take a picture of the whole sewing table, but for some reason I couldn't the the size to come down like the previous ones. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Great ideas for organization Michelle. Love the puzzle and quilt rack. I must have missed part 1 pictures, going to look for it now.
It would sure be fun to work in this studio.
Love part two of the tour as much I did Part 1!
What a great space--if I didn't have brown eyes, they would be green! :)
You wouldn't happen to know where I could find a jigsaw puzzle like yours, would you? My mom would love it! |
Thanks for sharing all of your creative ideas ... you have re-used, recycled and enhanced so much and made your sewing world a better place!
Love your room and the fun things you've put in it! We're finishing the basement - we just sanded down the first coat of drywall mud - and I'm impatiently waiting to move my quilting stuff down there! I'm with you on the painting, though! I wish I could wiggle my nose and have it all be done, but that doesn't seem to be working. Sigh.
Enjoy your new space! |
Awesome room.
Love it all... and the TEAL rolly cart next to the Ikea cabinets !!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE that !!

Great space. I'm getting ready to re-do mine and you've given me so much inspiration. Thanks

I keep a box and old lazy susan around for spray painting and I wear a garbage bag and gloves. your room looks great would like to see the rest of it.

*** It is a glorious place, I love all of it. *** Enjoy it. *** |
You are the number one recycle gal with everything that has come across your path. Great room with all your creations.
Great ideas........now I have to go see what I missed in part 1.
What a wonderful studio! Loved all your creative ideas!
Luv, luv, luv your room....how big is it? I took our 3rd bedroom and am currently working on organizing it into a sewing room. I found I have too much stuff. I love your ideas AND your finished quilts!
All of your pictures are terrific. thank you for the info and inspiration. I keep trying to be inspired to clean, and reorganize my room.
A fantastic space to work in, love all the ideas that you came up with that make it your own space.
bljackson58 - I think the room is 10x11. Unfortunately it's got a "jut in" space that houses cabinets outside the room. Thanks so much, everyone, for your positive comments. I have to work today (that just interferes with quilting, as far as I'm concerned!) but tomorrow, I'm spending the day in there!
Love your studio and all your neat ideas...I may have to borrow some of them. Thanks for sharing, now go enjoy.
You did a great job on your room! You have lots of creative ideas. Now I need to go clean mine so I can start another project!!
I am SOOOOO jealous. It is beautiful!!! I turned my library into my studio a few months back. I was using it before to quilt in but it was pretty cramped. Gave hundreds of books away . And now it is very usable and organized but it needs bright new paint and cute decorations like yours.. I don't think I would ever want to leave your room if it was mine. GOOD JOB!!!!
What an awesome studio! Enjoy your time in there. I especially love ........ Oh, I can't decide, I like it all!!!!
So many lovely things! Here's the link to part #1 http://www.quiltingboard.com/mission...o-t243312.html
Great space for quiet time. Thanks for sharing. Reminded me that I have a quilty puzzle to do.
Very nice and lots of creative ideas!
Looks great...Enjoy..
I do love these "ordinary" items that have been used in such creative ways.
It looks very fun! I like the idea of the ladder to keep flimsies out in plain sight. Maybe that would get me started finishing things.
