New sewing room
3 Attachment(s)
We have a new puppy in the house so I had to move my sewing room from the finished half of the basement to the smallest bedroom upstairs. She could just cause to much trouble down there! I left fabric, threads, large table I pin quilts on down there. It will be different, but if I have to run up and down the stairs enough I will either lose some weight or finish working on what I have up here! I had to leave the antique record player in here, dog loves to chew on wood furniture.. and my dresser. Tight but at least I can sew! |
I bet it feels cozy . Sure looks like a nice hideaway from Little Chewy:)

Wish I had a tv to watch football. Your room looks nice and cozy. I know how puppies can get into trouble - never trust them until they are 5 years old.
|
Nice set up!

Puppies, like babies, are for the young........last two dogs have been adult rescues......passed all the bad habits and housebroken...and just as loyal and loving.....
|
Looks like you're set up for the long haul. Bet you get more done in this sweet room. :-)
|
I'm sure you will find your groove in your new space. Have fun with your new puppy.
|
I like your sewing room!!! Now what kind of puppy did you get?
|
So nice and tidy.

Enjoy your new baby and cozy sewing room. We got two puppies when we retired. They are 2 1/2 yrs. now and we still have baby gates up to keep them out of my sewing room (I'm terrified of dropped pins etc.) and the kitchen, as one has a real affinity for the dish towel. I really think if the dish towel was next to a steak, he would still grab the dish towel. They are trained (CGC and ACGC) but some things are just too appealing LOL Your Halloween quilt is adorable, as is your sweet pup.

Great idea for storing your embroidery frames...on the side of the bookcase. Nice room.
|
What a darling puppy! Love your sewing room too, I may need to use your idea of storing your embroidery hoops, it will free up a drawer...hmmmm! :-)
|
Your sweet pup looks like it could be a fox hound. Cute baby.

Great room and cute puppy. It should not be too long before you can return to your sewing area.
I have a new kitty and have to block my sewing room. She likes to get into everything. I will be glad when she settles down and I can start sewing in the evenings. She is coming up on 6 months and getting spayed Wednesday. |
Lovely set up. From experience of having my machine directly in front of a window, wanted to share that the heat from the sun discolored the back of my machine and also dried out the level for the needle threaded - and it broke.
Just wanted to caution you...I now do not have my machine on my stable when I am not using it. :) Judy in Phx, AZ |

We got a rescue puppy. Papers say hound! We think she is part greyhound and beagle. Greyhound body with long legs and small beagle face. I've never had my own dog before, always took in one that a relative needed a home for. Geri B said it right, puppies are for the young, but six weeks of puppy classes have helped a lot! Hubby is retired and I work part time so she has lots of attention!
Love your Halloween quilt. Rob |

Beautiful Halloween quilt.

Nice area. Hope the antique phonograph survives the new dog.

you room is very nice, love your quilt and doggie to. so cute

I know the feeling. My Shih Tzu wants to get my batting on my quilts all the time. She is a little stinker but I love her dearly. I have to keep a baby gate up so she can not get to my quilts on my longarm. Your sewing room looks real nice.

What cozy place! Enjoy!:thumbup::thumbup:

That looks like a great space to work in. Your puppy has a sweet face and I love the quilt.
