New Toys and Fun to be had.

I have had a great September. A friend gave me a Gracie Quilt frame and I bought her sewing machine that went with it. I took a trip to Chattanooga to see my son. My husband took me to the "A Scarlett Thread" south of Atlanta on the way back. I bought more fabrics and was showing my husband the type of sewing cabinet I wanted. He looked at me and said, "why don't you get it?" So we walked out of there with the cabinet I wanted.

Now I get to re-organize my sewing room to fit in the quilting frame and the new sewing cabinet. I will be sure to post before pictures and after.

Do I look a little Rotten?

I see many a quilt in my future.

Well, aren't you the sassy one? hehe Enjoy the fun of reorganizing and then enjoy the fun of quilting! Ahn, no quilting till that studio is reorganized.....get that thought out of your head!

Have fun reorganizing your sewing room. It will be wonderful when it is finished.

Whoa, and it's not even half over! What machine did you get to go with your frame?

CountryHouseQuilter 09-08-2012 05:06 AM

aren't you the lucky one!!!! And I agree with Fleur - no quilting till you're all organized. I make that rule in the spring with my garden. I'm not allowed to even go near the quilting room until my garden is weeded and planted. After that, it's a free-for-all!!!! Enjoy!!

Lucky you. With all those new things, you're really set. And didn't you just love A Scarlet Thread??? Next time you're "up our way", you should visit Sweet Home Quilts in Conyers. I don't have any financial interest, but I do love that shop, too.

He is the one who got me my sewing machine last year. (for his birthday) LOL. Got a car 2 years ago the week of his birthday in July. It is now a running joke. I get his gifts for his birthday. This year he did get a wonderful Quilt. (Wonder who made it and on what machine?)

Is picture one a Hoosier Cabinet? Bought mine this week. It has the flour bin and stuff still in it. I've wanted one for quiet a while now.
Have fun and remember it's yours and do it the way you want it.... Congrats!

Love Scarlet Thread...great variety of fabrics. Next time you drive to Chattanooga, check out Marietta shops (Little Quilts, Tiny Threads and Red Hen Fabrics)--some of my local favorites in my area of Marietta & Woodstock. All of which are close to I-75. If ever driving I-85 north out of ATL check out Intown Quilters--absolutely my favorite and comparable to Scarlet Thread shop.

Wow! Wish my hubby would say that. How fun, enjoy!
