I love these things! My favorite use is to put 1/2 cup dry oatmeal in one then add cinnamon, raisins and sweetener. Take it to work with me, pour it into the large mug I keep there then fill it with water up to the 3/4 cup mark I put on the container with a Sharpie. Add to the oatmeal in the mug and MW for 2.5 minutes. You can even carry your spoon in the container with the dry oatmeal mix.
I buy chai tea mix by big bags. This container would be perfect for dividing and taking it to work.
Oh great for crochet hooks too!

For all Aurifil thread lovers I found a new use for Crystal Light containers (the tall oval plastic containers that powdered packets of Crystal Light comes in). Four spools of Aurifil thread fit perfectly in them. With the label off the container you can see what color thread is inside and it keeps the thread organized and clean.

What a coincidence, I just emptied another one of these and was wondering what to use it for. They are really very nice clear containers after taking the label off. Maybe somebody will have another good idea for their use.

I don't use Crystal Light, but I have some of those grated cheese containers. One is filled with safety pins. I open the the little flip cap and pour them out when I am pinning something and later drop them back in, one by one.

This gives me an idea for where to put broken needles. I hate to just toss in the trash. I am thinking one might be making a new home next to my sewing area for catching used sewing sharps. Thank you for this great idea.

Great idea - the picture really helped to see what you meant. I've got to start saving my containers!
