Organizer for Stabilizer

1 Attachment(s)
I can't believe how much stabilizer I collect to use for machine embroidery. I used fusible soft & stable between 2 layers of fabric, and part of a vinyl shower curtain to make this over-the-door organizer. I can finally see what I have.

Lyncat,
I did the same thing, sort of. I took the easy way out and ordered an
'Over the Door Stabilizer Organizer' from Quilt in a Day. (No affiliation.) It is wonderful and it frees up so much closet space.

I bought a purse organizer at Bed Bath and Beyond for $10 with clear vinyl pockets. It can hang on a hook or over a door. Here is the link:

Cats8....I have the same organizer. Love it for storing my heat n bond, rolls of quilting patterns from Digitech, thangles, etc. One of the best things I've bought or organization.

marshaKay 06-23-2016 06:20 AM

Clever! Better than my, stuff it in a box, approach. Thanks.

Michellesews 06-23-2016 06:28 AM

where did you get the hardware, grommets, grommet machine, and over the door hooks? do you remember how much they cost? Thanks

Jordan 08-04-2016 11:40 AM

What a great idea!

QuiltnLady1 08-04-2016 04:26 PM

Great idea. I keep the water soluble stabilizers in a plastic box that closes tight (damp climate here) but the others are in baskets everywhere.

costumegirl 08-05-2016 03:50 AM

Thanks for sharing a great idea!!

Great idea, wish I had a door I could put something like this on. Have my overage in a large tote and the rest on a shelf which I could be using for fabric if I had another place to put all this stablizer.

I just bought a clear shower curtain and used it. The whole top is the shower curtain top. I had the hooks left from an over the door shoe holder that I didn't need.
