Putty Holds it all Down

I thought I'd share a tip that I got from Martha Stewart many years ago. If you have those drawer organizers and they keep sliding around when you open the drawer, use a little putty on the bottom of the organizers to hold them in place. MS used to even have a kit of all kinds of little things like that, which I bought. It's all used up now, so I found removable putty while shopping for picture framing supplies. Putty is also great for holding hanging pictures and artwork in place. Just put a dab on the bottom of the frame and it will stick to the wall without any damage to frame, or wall. I also use it in the kitchen drawers to hold my bamboo utensil organizers in place.

Great tip! I knew about the putty (kinda like play dough) for pictures, posters, etc., but didn't even think of it for slide-arounds in drawers. Talk about missing the forest for the trees!

This will be my one thing I learned today and I've found that everyday offers at least one thing. Thanks!

That is a great idea. Thank you so much. I am going to try it as my utensil drawer that holds the forks/knives/spoons is always sliding around in the drawer.

I have used and loved that putty for years. I'm a xray tech and we use it to hold our makers with. I also use it for pictures and hanging my ribbons that I won up on my shelf.

What a super idea! My utensil drawer is always sliding around. Looks like another purchase when I get to Lowe’s for those sticky pads to catch mice!!!!!

thanks,

This kind of product can also be found in office supply stores. Often used by teachers to hang posters etc.without damaging walls. I always had a "glob" of it in my desk. Lasts forever and stays soft. Comes in a number of brand names but they all work.

Thanks for that tip! Better than the velcro circles I've been using for wall hangings.
