A Result of your inspiration

Well here is my stash or "My Walls of shame". The items in the greenish-blue room are sorted by color and are my greens, blues, reds and pinks. The closet is my yellow, orange, purple, black, brown and Christmas stuff. The jumble is my flannel and my Batiks, clearly still need work. The yellow room is my solids and also is my sewing room. Thanks everyone for the inspiration. Already feel a big improvement. If I need to look for something just walking up to a wall is a lot easier than digging through a ton of fabric.
Hope you enjoy looking as much as I have enjoyed the peak into your spaces.

Wow, what a stash, and so well organized. I am very impressed.

Nilla 04-18-2013 11:20 AM

Goodness. I'm going to have to stop looking at all these pictures of organized sewing spaces. I feel sloppy! It really looks good!

My thoughts exactly Nilla, I started to organize, I have a decent room, but I would be embarrassed with my "petite stash"

Emma S 04-19-2013 03:04 PM

Debbie: Yes I made them. I don't have any close neighbors so they really are just to add a splash of color, they are rarely closed.

Quilt Novice 04-19-2013 03:23 PM

Very nice! Love the wall colors.

coastienest 04-19-2013 05:05 PM

Wow, if you find you run out of room for some of your stash, I can send you my address! Great job on the organizing

Diane007 04-19-2013 05:26 PM

looks very good

carolynjo 04-19-2013 05:52 PM

That looks so nice! I feel like a real bum now! I just need to push the walls out about 10 feet more and I might be able to get there.

solstice3 04-20-2013 10:14 AM

Wish i had a room I didn't have to share with the computer, file cabinets etc

Dotha 04-20-2013 12:51 PM

Come on over to my house! Looks great.

earlori7 04-20-2013 02:25 PM

Wish I had such a stash - and wish what I have is as organized!

pokeyscorner 04-21-2013 10:23 AM

Great job Emma.

Caroline S 04-21-2013 10:59 AM

Good job. You have inspired me to create my own "Walls of Shame". I am also tired of digging through my totes to find that one piece of fabric that I know is somewhere in hiding.

4EVERquilt 04-21-2013 11:51 AM

I would love browsing through all that fabric. You have alot!!

nygal 04-21-2013 12:47 PM

Your stash looks great!!!

CherryPie 04-21-2013 01:04 PM

Great job!!! If the day comes about when I can have the master bedroom for my sewing room, I hope it'll look as good as yours. Hope to have my own "Walls of Shame". Thanks for sharing.

nstitches4u 04-21-2013 05:37 PM

HLenore 04-30-2013 07:08 PM

Great Job! I love it when my stash is organized.. I always feel like I'm going to the "free" fabric store.. Lol.

flowerjoy 05-04-2013 06:41 AM

Nice organization... but, oh dear, it makes me want to get more stash... I so love all the colors.

KSue 05-30-2013 07:58 PM

Love your stash and your organization looks great! I finally got mine finished as well. I posted it quite a while ago. I was brave - before and after pics.

Emma S 05-31-2013 05:45 AM

Thanks, KSue. If I had posted the before, it would be a picture of a walk in closet with stacks of folded material. Almost impossible to use without pulling the whole closet apart. Going to look up your stash.

Angel Bear 06-03-2013 06:38 PM

What a stash! Nicely organized too.

dorarudin 06-08-2013 06:21 PM

hugs dora

M.I.Late 06-09-2013 06:15 PM

Isn't it inspiring when you can see your fabric all organized like that. I love it!

ShabbyTabby 06-09-2013 09:24 PM

I'm in the process of organizing my sewing room now. My granddaughter, who just turned 21, moved into her own apartment and so we now have her room for sewing!!!! Yay, I can get all the mess out of the dining room. We bought bookcases and a big 2-door cupboard and are putting all the materials in color sections. No more digging through 5 plastic totes to find material....Can't believe I will actually have my own room...so excited.

LynnyH 06-13-2013 05:00 AM

Wow fantastic. I wish I had more than one 9 x 12 room that I share with an L-shaped desk. When my cutting table is opened out I can hardly move. Thinking of moving into my 'formal' living area that only get used a couple of times a year. I think the desk will have to go.

Emma S 06-13-2013 01:13 PM

Lynny: I no longer have a formal living room, but when I did it was wasted space. I say go for it, makes a lot of sense to really make use of space rather than let it sit idle. Show pictures if you make the change.

cowgirlquilter 06-15-2013 06:35 PM

Saluting you as you have really made lots of progress!, Congrats!
