I love how you have your computer and sewing machine close together. That way you can sew and keep up
with quilting blogs on -line at same time. I have to get it and go from sewing area to computer then to another
room for fabric. I wish I had space to combine everything in one room, but alas I don't.

Actually, that is my television....I do bring my Ipad into the room so that I can check out emails, etc. My room is 13 x 17 btw.

Nice. What is that thing sitting behind your embroidery machine...looks like something I would like sitting behind mine.....

It is a See & Sew LED lite. I love this! The first time I saw it I had to have it! Keeps me organized and adds more light too.

Thank you for sharing your "new" room. Sat. my husband took out a closet & beginning to build it in for cutting table & storage. My question, How do the curtains work out for you under the counter? My "H" wants me to do that vs. slidding doors. (less work for him)

I used hook & loop tape by the yard to affix the curtains to the tables. I do sew thru the tape to reinforce it on the fabric. Perhaps your hubby can attach a small cafe rod to your new table which would allow you to have curtain rings for your skirts. Mine sticks pretty well to the metal underside of the table. The white plastic one sticks pretty well but when it gets hot up in that room...the heat causes it to lose the hold. Overall I am happy with the set up.

thanks everyone, for your nice comments! I always enjoy seeing others' spaces too. We learn from each other and are inspired!

Thanks! I won it in a guild raffle. It was hand made from a pattern circa 1926. Interesting.....the year my mom was born. That vignette shows a lamp from my grandmas' house. She died when I was 4. I don't remember her. She was my moms mother. The sewing machine and cabinet belonged to my moms sister, one of my favorite aunts. The flower arrangement was a gift I gave my mom while she was in the nursing home. I lost mom just over 2 years ago. so I guess this is my tribute to the important women in my life......all since passed.

Your room looks great...so organized! Can we assume you have your "stash" stashed away under the orange curtains?
I wish my room looks so orderly and nice. Good job.
