I have my grandson here trying to show me how to post pics. Maybe I will learn and remember and maybe not. These pics are of my sewing room/building that my husband put up for me in the back yard. I love it!!

Awesome! When I get computer instructions, I write then down, step by step in a little notebook for when I forget the steps. You notice I said “ when” not if.😁

Love your sewing room!

That's an awesome "she shed" I'm jealous! Haha.

QuiltnNan 07-08-2020 03:27 PM

Looks like a great place to spend time.

Nice sewing shed! That's a pretty quilt you have on the ironing table....

osewme 07-09-2020 06:20 AM

That sewing shed is wonderful. Looks like you have lots of storage space & open space for moving around. I love the fridge...where's the microwave? https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/wink.png Looks like you could live in there all day!

Ladywingnut 07-09-2020 06:42 AM

What a great hide out! Tons of room! Enjoy your space!

I love your sewing "house" it is to die for gorgeous! I don't dare take a pic of my sewing studio right now It is so over loaded.

I would love something like that! I currently use a spare bedroom, about 10X11 feet and it is very crowded with fabric, books, piecing machines, and a Tiara sit-down machine. I've been eyeing the other spare bedroom as a second space, but don't tell my husband. We have talked about finishing our basement but can't justify the $20K at this time, and our neighborhood would never approve a she-shed like yours. Plus, I would be out there all day long and would get even less housework and cooking done. Enjoy your space!

Lovely play place! I am like Tartan I write instructions down...but then sometimes when I read them a month later, I wonder what on earth I meant by that https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/tongue.png

Beautiful sewing space. Looks like it will be so much fun to work in and all that space is fantastic. Aren't grandkids great to help us out with our computer skills??!! I did write down the steps that my granddaughter used to get pictures on this board but I must have missed a step somewhere along the instructional session!! Next time she is here I am going to have her go just a little bit slower. :)

Stillh20 07-09-2020 10:28 AM

What are the dimensions? That looks just wonderful. You are so lucky. Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for the pics of your "She Shed". What a great hubby, keep him, Mine finished out a 32 x 16 room in our garage type barn for me and I love, love it. As I get older it is a challenge to get up the 24 steps but I go up once a day and spend hours in it. We are both very lucky,

Jingle 07-09-2020 02:37 PM

You have a very nice sewing space. Lucky you.

petthefabric 07-11-2020 09:51 AM

In our county, adding anything over 120 sq ft, must have a building permit. That's 10 x 12 with no overhang. Just saying. Knowledge can help avoid problems. You might need a building permit.

We're remodeling, not building, a deck roof and adding <120 sq ft to the roof-no permit needed. A permit would add $1000's.

Wonderful! Lucky you!

BonnieJP 07-11-2020 10:27 AM

It's so neat and organized. A very nice space to get away and do your sewing.

dlrcpa 07-11-2020 10:30 AM

Wow, spacious and gorgeous. Have fun.

mmunchkins 07-11-2020 11:12 AM

In our town in Maryland, the maximum size without a permit was 160 square feet. That would be 10X16. And you could only have one shed.

Your husband is a keeper, and so is that sewing/quilting studio! Enjoy.

Jshep 07-26-2020 04:53 AM

Love your she shed. I have a friend who has one. She built a little front porch and a brick sidewalk to it so as not to track inside. Her tv is mounted on the wall. Her husband pot hooks on the wall up next to the ceiling so she could hang things such as wreaths she has made. Unfortunely she has piled so much stuff in there you can hardly get through it.

retrogirl02 08-02-2020 09:08 PM

Oh ! That's a great space!! Congrats!!

SusieQOH 08-03-2020 05:49 AM
