Default Just Could Not Take The Mess Anymore

I have been trying to get organized (probably since birth) and I decided that I should take on the fabric stash. It had been living in a deep linen closet (0fficial storage area, in reality it was piled up everywhere), but then I had to store the "linens" somewhere else. Actually got rid of all extra sheets for the guest beds. I had the wall knocked down between two bedrooms to enlarge my sewing space and still was messy. So, I cleaned out the bedroom's 2 closets, bought a new dresser, cleaned out another dresser (already in room) and made a new ironing board station. I dedicated one closet to Christmas and luggage and the other one to sewing. This is a $39.00 dresser from IKEA. All wood. I put my ironing mat on top and have three drawers for fabric.

Old dresser I bought. Each drawer has a different color in it.

Wall storage I put up.

This made a dent in my stash and for the most part it is organized.

Well done! Put a matching sheet of coloured construction paper in the front of the bins by the window so the fabrics don't fade.

Good job! Great idea to use the chest for both fabric storage and ironing station.

Looking good. Be careful of the indirect sunlight coming thru the window. Some projects in the clear bins can start to fade after 6 months. My reproduction fabric got it and I have over a dozen that are faded on the fold. I would hang a rod from the ceiling with a curtain that the light could not penetrate. You can always open it when using with curtain ties. Just a suggestion.
