it's a pull out shelf to set things on while trying to find something in a drawer.

I am actually considering those vacuum storage bags... but maybe that is what you meant. I will wait to see if I run out of room in the large storage closet.

Nan, what a wonderful way to start the new year...and what a wonderful treasure from your Aunt. It looks as though it was well cared for and now has a new purpose in life. I’m sure it feels great to have your scraps organized.

Oh you are so much better than I am with your scrap organizing! I wait until my scrap bag gets to full, then I sort through it, and donate whatever I know I won't use!

Always nice to know that someone else saves batting scraps to piece together. Nice dresser, too! Good luck with your move. I told DH when we moved where we are that "You can carry me out of this house!" but now, it's getting too much to take care of and reluctantly I listen when he makes noises about "something a little smaller"

that is enough scraps for two lifetimes. And so well organized. You can probably let everything else go and have a beautiful new sewing area in your new home. Best wishes on the move.

Great job. I love storing fabrics in a dresser. That's how I store most of my fabrics.

Oh Nan, I know how overwhelming it can be! I'm sure we all do.
Good job and I love that dresser!

Love how you organized your scraps. I was thinking of getting plastic boxes to sort my scraps and then, after reading your post, realized I have an almost empty dresser that I could use. Thank you for the idea.
