We have the same wood in my laundry/sewing room & in one of the bedrooms. I have so wanted to get rid of it but everytime I even mention it to friends or family, I get told "NO", it's too beautiful. I have looked at it for 8 yrs now & am tired of it. I am going to show my hubby your pics & show him it can be done!
Thanks for sharing & your room is just beautiful!

I have a Janome MB4 and Janome 350e. I love them both but really use the 350e the most. I only wish the MB4 had the cap hoop like the brother or babylock. Other than that they are both great machines.

My grandmother used to say, "I wish I had your room and you had something even better." She never wanted to covet, your comment reminded me of my grandmother.

That knotty pine sure does bring back memories of my childhood...Mrs. Anderson's house; the 4D Ranch House and as well, our very first home as newly weds had a bedroom of knotty pine. I would have had a very hard time painting over that wood. Your room looks very nice though.

That is such a lovely, soothing color! I think the knotty pine is lovely as far as the texture of the wood goes, but I agree, it can be so dark and dreary. You have really freshened up the look of the room and now it just looks so bright and fresh - wish I could sit and sew a spell there!
