The clear totes at WM work great for fabric, and the $7.00 or so ones with handles that snap at top are just the right size not to give this old lady a hernia when I move it, can see mostly what is in it. Now to take all material out of boxes and reorganize by color and put back on shelves I just bought and put behind a puppy playpen, but have to get another one yet. Work in progress as your area is, but you will get it the way you want it sooner or later, just as I will. Love the pink treadle.

This is so true. Every time I have had to move my sewing space (I'm looking at move #7 coming up this spring), it's taken me several months to get everything set up in a way that works in the space I have and works for the way i sew. But I consider it such a blessing to even have a dedicated sewing space. Don't worry if it takes you a while to shift and rearrange here and there until it's just right for you.

hi..yeah, i think ya done real good! it is difficult to keep a small space neat & organized looking. i am an "place for everything, & everything in it's place type person". but have never had a large space for all the "stuff" i needed for knitting supplies, clothing fabric/patterns, embroidery (hand) & then quilting came along lol.

btw...i love the quote at bottom of your comment box by onalee rose. have tried doing search, come up w old cemetary records etc, but nothing about the person or the writings of. where can i find some info & read more of what this person wrote? thanks.

I think it looks great, a sewing area has to be an area that you can be comfortable in. I agree the longer you live there the more you will be able to settle in. In the meantime, go sew and enjoy.

I am working on my space too. You have a nice space. If you feel like I do, when I get stressed out, I go to my sewing area, and it feels like my sanctuary.

Cool workspace and lots of fantastic stuff. You, my dear fellow quilter are a minimalist compared to me.
