Default What is old is now new again !

I inherited two wooden spool racks that my Grandfather made for my Grandmother to store her threads on. They never seemed to work well with the newer size of spools of thread. I have recently switched to buying Aurifil. The other day, I came across one of the spool racks and thought maybe the Aurifil thread will work. Dusted it off and hung it up the other day. Yippee!

It pays to keep things -- they always end up being used. What great memories you have with this piece!

what a great family heirloom. Do you know when he made this, can you carve/mark the year on the back of it for posterity?
