Gotta be careful you don’t stack so much on it if you go big that you can’t use it w/o cleaning it off first ask me how I know 🤣🤣 I have the regular koala cutting table with the two drop down leaves plus drawers n door either end of main table n then I also have my large koala sewing cabinet with the big drop down leaf up n my big mat fits it perfectly

My cutting table is 4'X6', and it's in the middle of the room so I can walk around it. I have an 18x24" cutting mat that I use. My ironing table is 2x4', and I absolutely love it.

I have a table that holds my 24 x 36" cutting mat with an extra inch all around it. I don't have a lot of room. Because I also store bags of dog & cat food bags, extra baby gates and other things. along that wall. I have plenty of sewing space and don't need large tables or ironing boards.

Mine is relatively small but, it works for me. If I need something bigger, I put that big white mat from Joann on the dining room table. I know it isn't self healing, but I don't use it that often to cut. I do use it to trim quilts to get them ready for binding. I use the dining room table to glue baste. So far this system works for me.

My cutting table is a 3' wide solid core door, set on top of two bookcases. It used to provide lots of room for cutting, but now the AccuQuilt Studio is at one end, the cutting mat (24x36) is at the other (currently covered with fabric being selected for a quilt), and the middle is full of rulers, rotary cutters, container for throwaway scraps, and assorted things that belong somewhere else. My theory is that however large the surface, I will fill it.

I have discovered that I can use my longarm table for cutting batting and trimming quilts after they're quilted, so I've pretty much covered it with cutting mats. It's not the perfect height, but it is 12' long.

I use my ironing board for pressing (14 x 24 wool mat) and cutting (14 x 14 cutting mat) (and still leaves room for the iron and spray bottle at the skinny end). Also use it to hold part of my sandwiched quilt when machine quilting and as a craft table (lowering the height to pull up a chair and adding freeze paper if messy). That works for almost everything. The few times I need a bigger cutting surface, I use my 24x36 mat on the floor or on my quilting table (up to 48x 60 if I lower the sewing machine). I love the flexibility of my vintage 1970s ironing board (even as I hate the sound it makes when it opens or closes).

Mine is 3' x 5' with a bookcase as a leg and storage underneath. We put a drawer under it so I can store small projects yet to be completed.

My cutting table is a old breakfast room table from our other house. It was too big for the breakfast room here so I bought bed lifts to put under the legs and put the 2 leaves in it. It has a 33" x 58" mat on it and there is room at each end. Its great for cutting borders and squaring up quilts. I also use it a lot when I'm making garments.
