Good morning. Hope you take the time to find some love around you today. Remember, the more you give, the more you get.

And in that vein, I just remembered that I've been remiss in welcoming new members to the board. I do recall that when I joined there were lovely people who took a moment to greet me so for Valentine's Day, I decided to visit the new members thread and spread the quilty love. No time to do them all, but I will try to do two or three each day. How about you?

I'm still stitching away at my veils and wonder if I will ever catch up. *sigh*

I've been working on some new projects - even though I have a lot of UFO's. I picked up a 50% off hexagon template and have been hand stitching a little quilt for the March Doll Quilt Swap. Big stinking problem figuring out how to make it square, but I think I have it now. It's the first little quilt that I plan to do entirely by hand. As a bonus after cutting them out, I ended up with a ton of little equilateral triangles that I think will make a swell border.

For the last several months I've been sitting with a black, white and yellow print jelly roll from Joann. I keep staring at it. I don't want to do a strip quilt with it, but something that will give me the room to incorporate a lovely Jacobean Bee machine embroidery set. The designs are 4x4. Maybe black squares surrounded with strips? Maybe I'll build a bee hive? No, that's ridiculous. Especially with my skill set. A dilemma. Got any ideas?

Speaking of skill sets, my new fascination is paper piecing. I did my first in a class with Linda Hahn on the New York Beauty block and was amazed at how much fun it was. Now I've been busy downloading tons of patterns. I can't wait until I have the time to start stitching.

Well, that's enough for now. I've been postponing the inevitable hours with my sewing machine. This morning I have to mitre and finish the corners on my veils. Not my favorite.

Have a wonderful, love filled day. And if you don't have anyone to love, please do love yourself. (((HUGS)))
