I got up bright and early this morning at 5:00 am and with coffee in hand started to read the digest for today. It's a little frustrating that the "new board" digest seems to have lots of repeats and not as many threads as the old one, so I started looking at the pictures section.

I came across a wonderful thread started by Grammy Dwynn which I enjoyed enormously when she first posted it in July - the Scrappy Quilt Show. Since she started it, this marvelous thread has grown. There is so much eye candy there that with an unusual burst of self-restraint I had to stop myself after ten pages or I'd never get anything done today! I did, however, resubscribe selecting the instant email notification option so I don't forget it again.

My afternoon reward for getting more of my customer sewing done will be a delicious 20 minutes looking at more!

Don't miss it! And Grammy Dwynn, I think there is an ebook in that gorgeous collection!

Sorry to bother you but what exactly is a thread on here? I know nothing about blogging but would love to learn! Thanks for your time and have a lovely day!

A Thread is a Topic. They are the "regular" content, found collected in sections under the Home tab.

You can also find a plain-text list by checking out the Archive:

Just a tip for those who want to start their reading with the stuff that's newest since they were last here: you will find "Unread Threads" and "New Posts" under the "What's New" tab.

"New Posts" lists all the Threads/Topics that have been created or updated during the past 24 hours.

If you are logged in, "Unread Threads" will list only those Threads/Topics you have never looked at before. Once you have looked at all those you wanted to peek into, you can choose to click on "Mark Forums Read". That will start the list over. (the downside to that choice is that any threads you didn't open will be marked as having been read by you, so they won't show up on future Unread Threads lists.)

Thanks, Patrice! I'll have to try that to see what I missed!
