Default Looking for sewing / quilting group

Hi. I just recently moved to the Doniphan, MO area and would like to find a sewing / quilting group. Small, informal group is fine, one that does some charity sewing/quilting would be great.

Or just another sewer/quilter to buddy with, share ideas, support each other and go on fabric shopping trips together.
Thanks and have a GREAT day.

Check with your LQS, and also the Chamber to see if there is a guild in your area. That is a good way to find quilting friends

Good suggestions above. You'll love joining a quilt guild if one is available, but definitely get friendly with your LQS. There are 5-6 of us who meet weekly to "feed" each other with inspiration. I also belong to a quilt guild with over 150 members. The comradery is wonderful.

Wish you were around - but I have found a great group of women who sew and talk daily -
boomerang-friendship-swap-10-0-now-open-
this is the 10th swap and will by my third. You send your F8 to 15 other people; they all send you a F8; then everyone make s a 12.5" block with your fabric and returns it. You get to play with their fabric and send a complete block back. i have gotten toknow so many wonderful women all over the country and even world!

First, please do join us in the boomerang friendship swap. It is great fun and as travelinggramma said you make friends from everywhere.
Second, I have friends in your neck of the woods. I am from poplar bluff. I will find out if she knows any quilters in the Doniphan area and let you know.
