Thumbs up May 25 Rochester area Meet and Greet

May the 25th we are meeting at 10:30 @ Sewciety Quilts Cafe 869 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580
There is extra parking in the back.
http://cafesewcietyquilts.com/

Just go ahead and go in to start shopping.

I had called ahead and stopped in with another QG member earlier this week. This little shop screams inspiration the minute you walk in.

I thought lunch at Peaches Cafe
and then....
and then....
and then....
I was thinking if anyone would like to make it a day and go do more shopping....Hobby Lobby is a couple blocks from there as well as Joann's, It would be Memorial Day weekend so they should have some good sales too.

Heck lets all go wild and do all three!!!

Now don't forget:
1) wear a ribbon on your top! This is for identifying each other as members.

2) get in on the drawing by bringing a fat quarter
or equivalent of 5 or 6 inch square pieces to make an approx. FQ
or a bag of notions like - trims - ribbon / lace / baby rickrack nothing larger / beads /pearls / buttons

The drawing is to help a disabled gentleman whom is on the QB but can't make meetings. He is making things for us in exchange for goodies. His work is fantastic. One LQS has offered him consignment space for his goodies.

Anyone interested in car pooling from the east side I live near Ellison Park
Thank you,
see you here or hopefully there.

I go so excited when I read the title of your post, then I opened it and saw you meant Rochester N.Y. I live near Rochester, Michigan. (LOL)

Have fun everyone who lives close to Rochester N.Y. and not Michigan...

I'll be there! It's just down the road! I'll have to bring baby, but I'd lie to see everyone! You are all welcome to stop by and see my 20 sewing machines.

Surely a trip to Bits 'N Pieces could fit in there somewhere? I'm having withdrawal and keep trying to think how I can get one of those open over here in my area. LOL

Judy in MI - I was just the opposite, thrilled to see it's in NY! I almost never even look in these files, but noticed the title on my daily digest, perhaps it's Karma?

How the heck is it possible that I've never heard of this place, lol?? Not sure yet if I'll be able to make it, won't know until later in the week when we get DD's work schedule and figure out what we are doing as far as family plans. It sounds like great fun, it's an hour or a little more away but is doable. We've made many trips to Ocusite and I know where Hobby Lobby is, so should be able to find it.

Off on a shop hop with the guild I belong to today. Lunch and tote are packed and ready to go, I'm killing time!

well, I was just in Rochester last weekend for a cross stitch GTG at Golden Needle, then on to Patricia's Quilt shop. I did not know there was another quilt store. Too bad I can't cross the border again next weekend as I have to work. (our holiday is this weekend)- maybe next time.
