Default I found a quilted heart

You have heard of geo cache and the painted rocks. This is a nicer one for quilters. Quilters all over the world are making hearts and leaving them in random places for others to find. These are for the finder to keep, not rehide like the rocks. These are being done in Europe, Australia, Asia, UK, as well as here in North America.

Information can be found at Ifoundaquiltedheart.com or I found a quilted heart on Facebook.

Your hearts can be made of scraps, trims, buttons, etc....anything you want. Attach a card from the pdf that can be downloaded from the website.

Do not leave for a particular person, must be random. Leave in parks, outside stores or offices, most anywhere. Do NOT leave in airports, National parks, rest rooms, or on private property.

The tag asks the finder to report it on these websites. Some do, so go and look at what others have sewn for your ideas.

It is just a random act of kindness and fun to do. Try it.

Jean

Thank you so much for posting about this. I went to the site and am planning to make some to distribute. Really a nice, simple thing that could really touch someone else's heart.

This is a super idea. My grandchildren have been involved in the painted rocks and have found that to be super fun both to paint and hide.

Thank you. I tried painting rocks and discovered my rock art talent is not much, but I can make hearts all day long. Got to go start.

In Knoxville TN we paint rocks with uplifting messages to leave for kids and adults to find. They really put a smile on the face of the finder. You can rehide or keep them, just post a pic on one of many FB sites. Ours is#ftn.city knox rocks. Go look at them and start in your area.

Make these with your grands. If you look at the found hearts that have been posted, many are not perfect. It was probably made by a child, and that is what makes it adorable. I hope the finder realizes they are holding a child's treasure.

This is a wonderful idea. I noticed when I checked the location map that none were listed for Houston and most of the surrounding area.

I am going to start making and placing them - we can sure use hearts right now!

But let me also add that the outpouring of love and support for us and the rest of Texas has been amazing and filled our hearts with joy!
