I don't live in Indy but when I was there for a day and had time to check out shops, I found two that I would highly recommend:
[h=3]

Quilt Quarters

9840 N Michigan Rd, Carmel, IN 46032 (317) 757-8340

Quilts Plus[/h]

1748 E 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240

I haven't been to this one but plan to next time I'm there:

2503 Fairview Pl Ste W, Greenwood, IN 46142, (317) 882-2120

I haven't been to any quilt shops in Indy proper, but last summer I did visit Zig-Zag Corner Quilts & Baskets in Greenfield. A really nice shop located in a house in the middle of some corp fields and friendly, helpful staff. They served free coffee and cookies! I hope it's still in business!

Zig Zag closed their bricks and mortar store.

Back Door hard to find but if you are on 135 going south or north the road is across from Mike's Car Wash. That really helped me to never miss it.

I'm sorry to hear that. When I was there last summer I mentioned something about coming back on my next visit to Greenfield and the (I think) owner said she hoped they were still there. And I noticed their Web site is down for maintenance so I'll have to check back later.
