Default IQA Festival at Houston & AAQI

Just a friendly reminder that the IQA Festival in Houston is coming up fast, preview night is Wed., Oct. 30th. You can find all the details at www.quilts.com. If you are coming, please stop by the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative booth in the quilt show area. Please save some money to buy one of the little quilts, bid on a quilt by one of the notable quilters who donate their art, say hello and meet some amazing people who are raising $1 million for Alzheimer's research. This is the last year for AAQI at Houston and all online quilt sales will cease in Dec. Please look at the website for the full story http://www.alzquilts.org Nearly every penny goes directly to critical research that has made a difference in understanding this disease that has a terrible effect on families and challenges the entire health care system. Please stop by and say hello. Also say hi to my "Forever Friends" quilt in the Raining Cats & Dogs exhibit. ( unashamed bragging). I hope to meet many of you there.

AAQI will be in Row S in the main quilt show area, not the vendors. It's near the women's restroom so it's a good spot to find. Usually when you come in just keep walking past all the BIG show winners to the last row at the end of the building. I'm there for the Wed. preview, Thurs. & Fri. afternoon & evening shift. I just put some skinny red, orange & purple feathers in my white hair so I should be easy to spot.
