I have a quilt entered in this show. Just shipped it out last week. Wish I lived closer, so I could go. Sounds like it will be a great show, not to be missed.

Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know the Maine Quilt Show is July 30,31, and Aug.1 if any of you are interested. It is a great show.
I copied a section telling that this show was listed in the Bus Tours top 100 things to do in North America 2010; but got advised by administration that I wasn't supposed to put anything in all capitol letters. Not sure what that is about; but was just trying to share the actual headline with you all.

I have not been to that show yet, but I would like to go. Maybe next year, after I have worked awhile at my new job. By the way, putting things in all capital letters in emails or on line is considered yelling and is very rude. That may be why they told you not to use all caps.

Maine Quilts is indeed a great show. I know one of the judges and this year they are using the point system of judging for this show. That means the quilts will be in competition with an "ideal", not with each other, and the result can be many blue ribbons (or none  ) in each category as a result. It should be very interesting.

Yes, yes and yes!!!! I have messages all over my house reminding myself (and the family) that I will be out of town for the weekend. This will be my first quilt show and I can't wait. Kind of amazing that I think I need to put reminders up for myself.....like I'd forget. :)

I am going Friday also with a friend. We should figure out a way to all meet that day!
I was at the VT. quilt show 2 years ago, that was a wonderful time! My oldest son lives there, would be great to meet you girls.
