Default New Yorkers - Long Islanders Going to Quilters Take Manhattan?

This one looks like a LOT of fun. Anyone going? Want to meet up?

Boy does that sound like a super trip. I was in NYC in Dec. and said "Gee I haven't seen any fabric shops". guess I was in the wrong area. I did go into a leather place that Had their walls lined with old sewing ,machines though. Unbelievable.!!!
Can anyone tell me the name of that place? I think it was in th SOHO area.

I was so excited that the author of Elm Creek Quilts would be there, but everything else looks so fantastic. I don't care if I have to go by myself -- I'm going!!!

Oh my gosh it looks like it will be so much fun. Don't think I will be down visiting my new grandson again so soon. Sure wish I could go and meet you. Hopefully you will find others to go with, if not go anyways and be sure to tell people you meet there that you came alone and would love to make friends with other local quilters. Jennifer C (author of the Elm Creek Quilt series) is wonderful. I had the opportunity to hear her speak and then meet her a few years ago and she is extremely down to earth and nice. Go and have fun!!!
