Default Paducah 2015

I suppose this is quilting related, the AQS show is this week. I wanted to let you know to be aware of possible severe weather expected on Saturday. The TORCON or possibility of tornadoes is high at 5 according to the weather channels Greg Forbes. He mentioned western KY specifically. That means its a 50%chance of tornadoes within a 50mile range. This is quite high for KY, we don't usually get anything over a 3 or 4. I'm a storm spotter living near Lexington so I keep up with these things, but I'm also a quilter since 2000. I just wanted to give you all a heads up, keep your eyes to the sky and enjoy the show.

Yes, I've just seen this.

If you are on Facebook...here's the best weather info that is updated on the fly...Beau Dodson gives us real-time information about exact conditions for the area surrounding Paducah...if you are in the area, like his Facebook page to get excellent information. We locals give him more weight than other weather forecasting places. https://www.facebook.com/beaudodsonweather?fref=nf

That is very sad that there is such terrible weather during such a big quilt event.

The chances for tornadoes in KY statewide for Saturday were raised to 60% by the weather channel just now. Definitely a day to stay weather aware. FYI

It was gorgeous today! The crowd was huge and the sun shining. Keeping my ear to the ground for weather alerts. (I was there one year when a huge storm came through...blew Eleanor Burn's bug circus tents away)

I will be in Paducah tomorrow afternoon thru tuesday. (I know- I missed the Show. Darn.) Wondering if there is any fabric left! I also would like suggestions of what to see, do and eat. We plan on going to the quilt museum and Hancock's of Paducah, but are there any neat places you all could suggest?

That place has sooooo much fabric, I doubt they will run out, I love all the trinkets I bought when I was there. Have fun
