6th Annual Island Shop Hop (Long Island, NY)
 

July 26 - 29 is 6th Annual Island Hop Shop on Long Island, NY. This will be my first time doing the shop hop so I don't know what to expect. All I know is that my husband will take care of the kids so that I can ge my fabric "fix" uninterrupted by the little ones. As it looks to me, only Suffolk County stores are participating. It would be cool if some stores from Nassau County participated as well. If you plan on being in the area, you can pick up your shop hop passport at any of the participating stores - Sentimantal Stitches in Cold Spring Habour, Patchworks in Sayville, Sew What's New in Islip, Pieceful Quilting in both Riverhead and East Norhtport, and Beyond the Thimble in Setauket. I am fully expecting to double my stash by the end of it....It should be fun!

It is a fun day. It would be more fun if you have someone to travel along with you. I thought about doing it this year but I think I'm going to go to Quilt Odyssey instead.
