Due to DH job, we just relocated to San Diego and I am searching for a retreat down here. Preferably in August, if there are any. I could really use a get-away.

I don't know about a retreat but the Southern California Quilt Run is going on right now. It covers 2 weekends, last weekend and this weekend. Fri-Sunday.

I think if you check with a couple of the quilt shops in San Diego they may be having a retreat. If I hear of any will get back to you. Not too far away am in the Temecula area, but used to live in San Diego.

like esaonline said rosies calico quilt shop should be able to tell you. it is a real nice shop also its not a retreat but keep your eyes open for the craft show at the del mar fairgrounds. My crafting and quilting freinds used to go there every year. they have everything from crafts to quilting. we always enjoyed it and had alot of fun.i still miss those days.

Ethnic Quilts and Fabrics is having theirs THIS weekend, in Temecula. The shop is in Lemon Grove and she always has notices about retreats. Great fabric in there too!!

Welcome to San Diego! Concur with the recommendation to check at Rosies. Also some of the area quilt guilds do retreats. I belong to Sunshine Quilters and we do a retreat in May up to Temcula. I think Kalidescope in Lemon Grove has a retreat coming up this summer.

Hopefully you can join the next meet and greet when we get one scheduled.

maybe you can host a meet and greet at one of the quilt shops there and post it on the board here under the offline section

you all meet at a quilt shop, shop shop shop, meet some place for lunch, bring show and tell and have demonstrations

a great way to meet other quilting board members

I have already had 3 meet and greets that I have organized and have my 4th one scheduled for next month
