Is less more... here is photo of quilt I did and just thinking maybe I should have not quilted it so close? What do you think?

It all depends what you prefer. I have seen some quilts that were so quilted they were actually hard and could slip off the bed. LOL I am a fluffy person.

It looks very pretty. Is it a wall hanging then you can't over quilt if not and you find it a bit stiff wash frequently and use. It will soften up.

I think it is very pretty. However, i do think there can be too much quilting. I have seen some here that it was difficult to discern the pattern because the quilting obscured it. Each person has to decide for themselves what they like. Your's is lovely.

Yes. To me when it distracts from the pattern of the quilt it is too much. Quilting should compliment the quilt, not take it over completely IMHO
