a quilting friend on Faacebook sent me this newspaper article. After the big storm in Tuscaloosa, the woman found a hand made quilt in her back yardand is searching for the owner or maker.

and yet another reason to label the quilts...even if its just name and location...glad she rescued it...hope the owner is located
Oh my gosh. I hope they can find the owner. Keep us posted.
hope they find the owner. I am sure lots was lost and would be great to have an item back
Isn't it nice this lady went to so much trouble reclaiming this quilt? I hope the owner is found, too.
What a wonderful person she is!!!
Wow!! Raining quilts. Now that is something. It seems to have fallen into the right hands. I hope the owner gets it back. It is obviously a cherished item.
I wonder how many people will claim this to be theirs! They gave a pretty detailed description that there will be no "secrets" in the identification of it.
Tide and Clorox on a quilt?? Sounds dangerous to me!! If it was severely dirty though, it apparently was worth the risk. |
The person is probably so busy cleaning up from the tornado that she doesn't even realize everything she is missing.
Also, isn't there a lost and found site on internet? |
