Houston Quilt Festival 2015
I am planning to go this year, treat to myself. A friend is joining me, we'll meet in Houston.
Should we be booking rooms? Where should we try to get in? I don't mind if we're not right close as long as we can catch a shuttle from a parking lot. Please give me any suggestions or helpful info. |
From what I know from going a couple times, yes book now. The hotels right there are probably already full. The vendors usually get those.

Book right now. I went this year. I booked the Embassy Suites across the park a year ahead of time. Was great. Free breakfasts, quick walk (sometimes you just need to go back and rest). It was near Phoenician Foods where I could pick up food items for lunch or dinner. Worth it.

I have never been before either, but my friends and I are going in 2015. Our friend that goes every year has already had us book rooms so I would say the sooner the better. Good luck!

I may be wrong, but I thought the website had a list of hotels that they recommend. I would imagine that these would all have shuttles. The success of the Festival depends on us spending money. And they work hard to make sure we get there and enjoy a good show with a lot of vendors.
As to my friend and I, she lives north of Houston, so we drive in every day. There is parking available, but all of it may not be close. Close to me is within a block or two. The Toyota Center has a really large parking garage. There are some open flat parking lots near the Festival. http://www.quilts.com/home/shows/index.php |
I booked rooms for myself, my best friend, possibly her sister and a another friend.
