Houston Quilt Market?

Is anyone else going?

As a separation gift to myself I booked a flight down and am staying with my best friend who lives 6 blocks from the convention center.

I would love to meet up with people from this board.

Are you a business? This is a wholesale buying show. Quilt FESTIVAL is the consumer show. It starts a couple of days after Quilt Market ends. HUGE!

Sandygirl is right. I'll be at Quilt Festival but not at market. I used to do work for Sulky and get a pass to market but mostly I go to festival.

my apologies, I meant the FESTIVAL.

Is anyone going to the festival that would like to meet up?

As I said, I'll be there a couple of days. As of right now, I don't know which ones though. lol

I will be there from Tues night till Saturday...are you taking any classes?

cashs_mom 10-22-2016 01:44 PM

I'm not taking classes. I live on the far northwest side and it's such a hassle to get there with the morning traffic, I've given up on classes. For years I had a group of women that I went with and we all took classes. Their classes are great!

Oh, I wish I could go, but our guild doesn't hire a bus. Everyone goes on their own. My sister has been a few times, but haven't been yet. I was born and raised in Houston and have no desire to fight the traffic there any more.

My cousin lives across town from the show. She hires a car service (not a taxi) to drive her there and pick her up at an arranged time. She goes every year for two to three days.

Bonnie Hunter has been talking about Quilt Market/Festival on her blog. She was pitching her new books, playing cards and rulers this year. Sounds exciting and I hope you have a blast!
