I'm making a trip to town this weekend and want to know what quilt stores in Vegas you like. I will be going to Joanns and the only LQS I have been in is Fabric Boutique at Charleston and Decatur. I like that store but it just seems to be the same stuff all the time. I have gotton some goods sales there tho. I was hoping to find a place that has a good sale section.

Anyone?

Thanks

The fabric boutique changed owners and have updated several sections including novelty.
There's also Quiltique 213 North Stephanie Street Henderson (702) 563-8600 (only 15 mins from strip) and is 10 mins from ethel m chocolate factory too.
Joann's 4628 West Sahara Avenue, Henderson- (702) 878-9549 (just a few streets up from Quiltique)
Hobby Lobby 625 North Stephanie Street Henderson, NV 89014 - (702) 735-9903 (just opened in 2010)
Hancock fabrics 1971 North Decatur Boulevard, Las Vegas(702) 647-6788 (don't know if this location is open)
Hancock fabrics 9850 South Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas - (702)794-3542 (just eastward on silverado ranch from the southpoint hotel)

There's also Fiddlesticks in Boulder City if you're planning on going to the dam. 1229 Arizona Street, Boulder City, NV 89005 Phone: 702-293-2979

Also the Christmas Goose is in las vegas. You can take a quilt tour a lovely lady picks you up at your hotel you can choose to do an all day, includes lunch and she shuttles you to each store spending about 45 minutes at each location. With Nancy's closing may be longer now.

Welcome to Las Vegas.

The add for Joannes is incorrect. There are 2 stores here, one in Henderson near sunset station, I have to look it up every time I go. Also another Hancocks on Lake Mead & decatur. There is also a Joannes on Lake Mead & Rainbow about 2 miles from hancocks.

Christmas Goose is a must

Hancock's on North Decatur is still open, but it's not a very nice store, poor selection, dirty, etc. The one on Maryland Parkway is much nicer. Sorry to say there aren't many good sales anywhere that I have seen. Fabric Boutique will have a certain percent off for a different color (20 % off blues, etc) on different days. Good luck and tell us what you find!

I'm going to Vegas the end of April and was looking on line and found a company that does Quilt Shop Tours - I just looked up quilt shops and this popped up in the listing. Haven't booked anything yet as I had planned to wait and ask the question to the board as to the value of this, but it's never too early to plan a quilt shop tour!
