Morning everyone. On my way back from the Knoxville show I visited a family friend in Morganton, NC . His mother is going to be visiting from Australia next month. She wants to stock up on quilting supplies while she is here. I need to find some shops for her to visit while she's here. I'm not familiar with that part of the state. Anyone know of some good quilt shops with in about 100 miles of Morgonton?? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if its in the 100 mile readius but it is well worth an extra 50 miles to go to Mary Jo's in Gastonia. It is well worth it. Then there's Long Creek Mills around the corner for thread. Spools for long arms for $3.

Thimble Pleasures in Chapel Hill, NC is awesome! They carry many gorgeous contemporary fabrics, along with the traditional ones. And the folks who work there are great, too.

Morganton Sewing is on the main street in downtown Morganton. The employees are the greatest. They are also the area Husqvarna Viking dealers.
