Hey you traveling quilters::::
Oklahoma City will be hosting the winter show Jan. 12, 13, & 14. There are many good hotels and motels. Some dowtown and some a little further out. OKC is very easy to get around in and I will be willing to help anyone that wants to come!
Go on line to Oklahoma Winter Quilt Show and check it out.

Thanks. We just might be there. We don't have an itinerary, but I've always wanted to see the memorial. I could do both.

Go to Oklahoma Winter Quilt Show.com This should have all the classes and info you need.

Jennifer 11-13-2010 09:45 PM

My husband came home today and said, "Hunny, I almost followed someone home because I seen their license plate that said QUILTB (sp?) I wanted to find you a quilting friend that lives close. I responded, "thank goodness you didn't. I would be scared to death if a strange man followed me home and was approaching my car. Lol!

Wonderful, which day are you looking at? We usually go on Friday, but I can do anytime!

I went last year, too. My daughter and I loved it. I got lots of great ideas and some wonderful "wonder book" material. My daughter is getting a Saggy Baggy Elephant quilt for her birthday. It was her favorite book as a child.

OKLAHOMA PEACH 12-16-2010 09:04 AM

Will be there one day, we need name tags with Quilting Board Member on them, so we can meet each other. Won't be taking classes, working, but plan to drool over all the great work.

OKLAHOMA PEACH 12-16-2010 09:13 AM

Show is also on the 15th Sat.

Have been looking for some Texas Bluebonnet fabric, but haven't found exactly what I want, want to make a quilt for Sister in Houston. Have been working with computer and trying to print some pictures off, ran out of ink. I've seen all thats currently out there, but if anyone has old pieces, with big bluebonnets!

cimarron 12-16-2010 09:21 AM

Moda has a new collection with bluebonnets, matches one out earlier. Check out Moda's homepage...look under "new stuff."

cimarron 12-16-2010 09:26 AM

Checked out names, etc. Moda's "Sentimental Studios" had out "Shades of Blue" with blue bonnets. ALSO (newer) have "Wildflowers IV" with bluebonnets. Hope this helps. (smile)

One day, long day is enough. I have never taken a class, so I am no help there. It really is fun, especially if you take a friend!

Linda, intended to answer you sooner. There is a quilt shop in Kerrville,TX, called Creations. I have bought some really pretty bluebonnet fabric. They will mail you a piece or a whole order. They are really nice there.
