Sorry -- won't be there but that trip is on my bucket list. Hope you find someone to meet up with. Have a good time!

Oh, I wish! We went to the Paducah show about 16 years ago when my daughter lived in Kentucky. It was such a memorable experience! Do look for the booth of Country Treasures - it's my local, Chester Vermont quilt shop. Say hi to Sue for me! Her shop is closed for the month while they do shows, etc., so it's good that I stocked up during the VT Shop Hop. Have a wonderful time!

I live about 20 miles from Paducah, moved here just so I could go to the show, Handcocks of Paducah, the quilt museum, and be close to lots of quilters. LOVE the show and I go every day!

paducah

i plan on going this year for one day. i will have my dh with me, only because we are on a road trip with others things on the agenda. He has promised to look around on his own in the area. We will see how this goes. Sometime I plan to take a friend and go for three days...maybe next year. I am so looking forward to Paducah and time with my dh as we enjoy our trip thru Kentucky.

I will be there Wednesday & Thursday. My first time going & I am really excited. My husband will be going with me. He does my long-arm quilting.

I am so excited. I am going on a bus from Springfield IL. We are leaving at 6:30 a.m. on the 25th of April. I live in Normal IL and the bus will be parked on the far south of Springfield. I have to get up at 4 a.m. to leave at 5. I might just sleep on the way down to Springfield.

Bet we are on the same bus. The one with the quilt guild in Springfield? We will be staying at the Comfort Inn as the early morning drive would be too much for us. Coming from Peoria to Lewistown and then Springfield. Also will be staying there when we get back. Don't drive much at night. Too many deer up here Figure we will be more than a little tired by time we get back. I understand we will also be stopping at Hancocks on way home. CAROL AND JOYCE

My dd and I will be going on Saturday. She has just gotten into quilting, so this will be really fun. We went last year, but she was just going for the ride! I have gone the last 4 years and love it!

This is something that is on my bucket list. I would love to go. It just isn't in the budget right now. Also it isn't a good time to take off of work. One of these years I will go. My quilt guild talked about a trip but not enough interest to fill a bus. There is a LQS with a trip. Hopefuly next year.

Yes-yes. I'm finally going to make it to the show! A couple other quilting friends invited me to tag along! I'm so excited! Safe travel everyone!

gramtam 04-15-2014 08:12 PM

I am not able to go either, but I know someone who will have a quilt on display there!!! Look for Monica Mackison's beautiful quilt!!! She is from the little NE Kansas town that I am from!! Wish I could go, but will be there in spirit!! LOL

I bet we are on the same bus carolstikelmeier. My DH is driving me down and I'm going to call him when we leave so he can meet the bus and drive me home.

oldtnquiltinglady 04-16-2014 09:52 AM

Me too, me too. I have been to the show twice; first time wasn't into going to quilt shows that much, so didn't know how to make the best use of my time and the second I was pretty sick and had to sit on the sidelines while the two that I travelled with enjoyed the sights. This time a friend and I were lucky enough to get one of the last open registrations for a room, so we'll be there Friday and Saturday. Can't hardly wait.....

Yes, my fourth time to attend. Coming on bus with group on Thursday. My friend who does not quilt was looking for someone to go with her. I had all the contact information about the bus trip so we made a trial run today of where we will meet the bus. So excited. Wish I could stay the entire time like my first trip. Any tips for someone visiting for one day would be appreciated.
