quilt cruise

Has anyone ever taken one of the quilting cruises offered through Stitchin Heaven? I would like to hear your overall experience, beginning with registering, asking questions of the travel director, etc. Thanks in advance!

Not thru them, but I took one with The Crafty Gemini on Royal CarribbeAn. It was wonderful. They booked thru an agent in Florida and it went very smooth. The classes were great and we had time to do our own thing as well.

Maureen, I love the Crafty Gemini!!! She has helped me so much with my FMQ
To answer the question, I have not.

YES!!! I was on a cruise w/Stitchin Heaven in January (my first cruise ever) on Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas and have now booked a second - which is longer and has more ports - this December on Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas. Everything went very smoothly and there were no problems. Classes were great, lots of room, etc. And although the classes with the instructors are for one day each, you can sew 24/7 if you desire and the teachers pop in every once in a while to check if you have any questions, etc. Very organized and well-planned. My friend and I also opt to buy the pre-cut fabrics for the quilts so that we do not have to do that prior to leaving for the cruise. I would highly recommend doing this!!!

We brought nothing on our cruise. She taught us three patterns and provided the kits for each project. We paid a 250.00 fee up front. She was there all day every day helping and teaching. The machines were provided by Baby Lock and were sold at very good prices at the end of the cruise. It was really nice.
