Quilt Show in Houston, Texas
 

Hello from Houston. Just a reminder of the Tri-County Quilt Show next Friday and Saturday, March 4th and 5th at the Berry Center off West Road and Barker Cypress!

I went to the LaGrange, Texas quilt show with two friends yesterday, small but a lot of beautiful inspiring quilts.

Have any of you been to the the Quilt Museum in LaGrange? It opened one month ago. Eight of the ladies in my quilt guild went to the grand opening. Each month they display a new group of quilts. While in LaGrange yesterday, we had to stop by the Quilt Museum to see the display for the second month. Oh my, what BEAUTIFUL quilts. As a new quilter I am always inspired to try and reach a new level of expertise in quilting.

I am working on my Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. So far I have 63 twelve inch flowers complete. Each flower is a different color. I have stitch 56 together with the white border in between.

I am also working on a double wedding ring quilt.

I am working on these two quilts to enter in our guilds quilt show in March 2013. Have a lot of work to do if I decide to hand stitch the grandmother's flower garden. Have never hand quilted a quilt before!

Thanks for the reminder about the quilt show. Do you have the physical address for the Berry Center so I can use the GPS?

Thanks for the notice - I will try to attend, I live in West Houston. Hand surgery this week, so all I can do is look!
