I want to extend an invitation to all of you to attend our 2011 Dakota Pieces XI Quilt Show. The Sioux Falls Quilters Guild is having their bi-annual quilt show on November 5 & 6, 2011. It will be held at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, admission is $6.00 (children under 3 are free). The hours are Saturday for 9:00 to 5:00 and on Sunday from 11:00 to 4:00. There will be demonstrations, a bed-turning, door prizes and a raffle quilt. There will be over 300 quilts to view, lunch will be available.

What is a "bed turning?"

Our Bed turning will have a holiday theme. We will have an actual bed and will lay quilts that member have made. There will be a narrator that will read short stories about the quilt explaining why this particular quilt was made or who it was made for or someother interesting facts about the quilt. As the stories (which will be short) are read we will have two people pick that quilt up and they will hold it up so everyone can see it. I hope that gives you a better idea of what we will be doing.
