Quilt Shows in Southern Vermont or New Hampshire?
I am so excited! Just found out today that I will be heading to Vermont Oct 24-30 to make up the trip that was snowed out / iced out last January. It's a bonus that it is gorgeous leaf season and I'm wondering if anyone knows of shows in this area during that time period? Thanks!

Suggest you check on line on Dept. Of Tourism for both states. You are going too late for the Sandwich(NH) Fair. You should get some good leaf peeping in....they are only turning up far north...not much in the NH Lakes region yet...plus mostly yellows. We had a hot, dry summer. Enjoy yourself. Weather has been really nice lately. (Sent from Wolfeboro,NH. Oldest Summer Resort in America)

You unfortunately will be a few days too early to go to "the Gathering" in Manchester, NH which will be Nov. 1-4. But the leaves will be just glorious for you.

If you go to www.quiltfun.com you'll be able to find a list with the shows in the New Hampshire and Mass area

This is further north but might be worth the trip: http://www.vermontfairsandfestivals....ober-2012.html
This one is the same area, but a week earlier: http://www.vermontfairsandfestivals....ober-2012.html Sadly you just missed the Bennington Quiltfest, Oct 15-16. Maybe next year for that one. There are all kinds of festivals in many towns in both states that should be fun for you. Not much color yet in Southern VT/NH, but should be more in a few weeks. |
