Sewing Quilts of Valor - for Veterans
"Sew-In" for blocks for Quilts of Valor, Portland, Oregon, will be Saturday, February 16, 2013. Come anytime between 9:00 AM and 5:00PM. Bring sewing machine, salad or snacks to share. Some red and blue fabric and some batting provided. Patterns available or design your own. West Portland United Methodist Church, 4729 SW Taylor's Ferry Road, Portland, Oregon 97219. NO CHARGE. QOV Foundation is non-profit, their mission is to cover all service members and veterans touched by (any) war with healing and comforting quilts called Quilts of Valor.

Good luck with your turnout! Our guild is also sponsoring Quilts of Valor and this is the theme for our quilt show this year. www.amadorvalleyquilters.org is our website - psailer and others can see some of the patterns we are making.

Thank you Vicky for sharing. Perhaps one of these years we can come down and visit your quild or quilt show.This will be our first try at a day of sewing and QOV. Last year we focused on Project Linus.

BIG THANK YOU to those who came and sewed blocks/quilts and fed us lunch. The quilt presentations to veterans will be April 5th at the Metro East Community Public TV station.
