I have a son that lives in Belmont and wondered if there were any quilt shops around the area. What about big quilt shows? I'll make sure I visit around that time if anything is going on? I've done all the normal touring and all and just want to spend some time there seeing what the quilting world has to offer. Anything along my way to from Pa. would be great. Thanks for any help.

Right now I am at my other sons in Conn and stopped at 2 shops along my way here that were listed online. They were both no longer in business. That's sad. I hate to see that a small business closed, whether it be a quilt shop or something else.
I have faith in our board members here. I know someone will know of something coming up.
I don't know why I didn't think of the magazines. I have tons of them.

There is a lovely little shop called The Happy Quilter in Valley Cottage, NY just a mile north of the Palisades Center Mall which is right on the NY State Thruway.

Thank you so much. I'll put that in the GPS and surely make the stop. Can't wait to try someplace new.

I know the store, but can't think of the name. It is mostly brocades and fashion fabrics. They don't have a website.

Please be sure to let us know when you plan to come out here and your intinery. I will be attending both the Lowell Quilt Festival and the Mancuso World Quilt show in Manchester. Maybe we can grab a coffee together!

Depending on how long you will be here, I can add even more shops for you.

Someone mentioned Saftlers in Weymouth, but it is in Whitman, about 30 minutes south of Boston. I checked their website and I definitely want to visit that store someday on my way to Cape Cod.
