Quilt Expo, Madison, WI
Is anyone going to the Quilt Expo in Madison WI this coming weekend? I am going on Saturday. This will be my first large quilt show and I am really looking forward to pursing all of the vendors. I am not taking any workshops or anything, just going for the shopping

My friend and I are leaving this afternoon (from MN and SD) and plan to check it out Fri and Sat. The WI show has been my favorite - We go to the MN one every year and have been to the IA one once (were not very impressed with IA). But in MY opinion WI was great - you are going to have a great time.

The expo was really fun. Just loads of eye-candy everywhere I looked. What a load of beautiful fabrics in every booth. I picked up a couple of small projects: fabric and patterns for a couple of bags and one small wall hanging. I also ordered the Westalee ruler foot start-up kit. My big disappointment was that Nancys Notions didn't have the kits available because I wanted to come home and play with rulers. I also played on a long-arm machine:-) Lots of toys everywhere.
The big difference I found between a weaving and quilting conferences is that at weaving conferences you are able to touch the woven items on display, or at least the samples hanging with each item. The quilts were all "hands off", which was frustrating for me because I am a very tactile person. Other than that, it was a hoot!

Glad both you ladies made it to the show.
As I walked with my sister around the show floor.
Asked he " who do you think is on the board that is here?"
With bus loads of ladies and car lot full of cars.
many faces, so many talking about quilting. what the seen, what they will be doing next.
