Next week my hubby & I and all his siblings/spouses will be staying in a large cabin near Gatlinburg (yea, a vacation!!). Six kids in all (= 12 people - in one house!! For a week!! ). Actually, it's the first time in 11 years since they've all been together (unfortunately for Dad's funeral). And THAT was only the second time EVER they've all been together. Quite the age gap between first born & last born. Anyway, does anyone have suggestions to where I/SIL could go for a fabric fix? Looking forward to going to beautiful TN. :P

I was in Mountain Stitches by Susan over the weekend, small shop but very nice.
There is also a shop called Holloways, it is in Crosby TN, it isn't that far from Gatlinburg just ask and I'm sure someone can help you. If you drive to Wears Valley (hwy 321) there is a starting out shop called My Smoky Mountain quillt shop. This one is in the basement of her house so not very big, very nice lady

Cherry Pit and Iva's are close together, and can take up at least several hours. There are also 2 in Knoxville and 1 in Maryville if you are interested.

Please do not forget the shops in Pigeon Forge next to Gatlinburg. A quilt shop and other good shops near the river. Also a terrific Christmas Shop that has things no one else has. I never miss it when I go there. When I was there last, Dollywood was having a quilt show and it was terrific. I would google Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and look for what is going on. The quilt show may be because it was in the fall. Also, take the kids to the ski slope above Gatlinburg where you can ski on white astroturf with water sprayed on it, and also my kids loved the taboggan ride too. I just love that area in the fall. Trees may be beautiful too. So much to do. Eat at the far end of Gatlinburg on the water. Their pulled pork sandwiches are to die for. Have a great time. (I have to go to Ft. Myers, Fl to close on a house this month)
