Mrs. Pete sent me a private message and wanted me to post this for her to tell you about a quilt show in her area

http://www.the-dispatch.com/article/...CLES/101009836

The nonprofit organization is presenting “Quilts over Lexington” from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 711 S. Main St., in Lexington. Admission is $3 and parking is free.

The exhibit will include 30 to 35 quilts made by the members of the group. Although it is not a juried competition, attendees will vote on their favorite quilt for a Viewer’s Choice Award

There will be vendors of quilting supplies and attendees can win what’s known in quilting circles as a “fat quarter basket,” large pieces of fabric totaling about 40 yards of fabric for quilting.

Oh how I wished I still lived down there in NC. I use to live in Linwood which is not far from Lexington,NC. I sure do miss everyone that I do know there. The Berriers which both of whom were my Dearest friends Nanny Sue and Grady which are now in Heaven.Yes NC has alot to see and enjoy. The Barbeques places , Stamey's for one and Lexington. But now with the Quilting going on there I do wish alot more people would become involved there. Just remember Mary Jo's isn't that far from there either. Good Luck to ya'll in the Quilt Show.
