How fun! I haven't been but my Hubby was originally from Grand Rapids and my MiL lives there. Only was in Grand Rapids once at that was about 15 years ago so any advice I have is outdated other than always wear comfortable shoes! Hoping to maybe go next year so please give a report.

If you are not lucky enough to find a parking spot in the convention center underground parking lot take advantage of the free shuttle service offered. Just ask the attendant and he/she should be able to direct you. I was luck the last time I went and one of the shuttles was just pulling out and I asked for directions to the convention center not knowing about this service. They will give you a card with a phone number to call when you are leaving the show to take you back to your car.

I went for the first time this year and had a ball! Took a collage class with Laura Heine and spent way too much on the vendor floor. Hubby dropped me at the door and picked me up at the same place, so no parking issues at all.
