I'm moving to Hartsel Colorado and it's a very small town. I was wondering if any of you quilters lives there. Wishful thinking I'm sure but I thought I'd try. If anyone lives there or near there please let me know. I could use a friend in the new place I'm gonna live! Fairplay, Buena Visa, Alma, Lake George, Woodland Park, Salida, maybe Canyon City?

Good luck in finding a quilting buddy. Have you looked up a quilt guild in the area?

There is a very active quilt guild in Woodland Park-more than a hundred members. It meets on the fourth Friday at 1:00 to 4:00 at the Mountain View Methodist Church on Rampart Range Road. New people are always welcome. There is a significant contingent of members from the area west of Woodland Park such as Florisant, Lake George, Guffey, etc. There is also a quilt store, Nuts and Bolts, in Woodland Park. The guild has an annual quilt show in August and does a lot of charity work. Look them up on the internet-Quilter's Above the Clouds.

That is what I did when I moved. I found a nice group of quilters at the Senior center.
