My group of 4 friends have been going for 15 years! Every year is another exciting event. For those going, don't forget the Rotary building. Antique quilts always on display, Sew Batik is there with their wonderful backings and more. For an indulgence, make a reservation at Max's. Don't know if prom is still Friday night of quilt week - it was one year - but if so, pick another night . Agree with the others, take time to enjoy Everything! There are treasures all around town.

I’m coming to the fall show as well. There will be a bus load of us coming down from Ontario. I have never been before so really looking forward to it. Any info that can be shared will be appreciated. Is the fall show significantly smaller? About how many vendors would be at the fal show compared to the spring One?

One year about 8 of us went. We rented a condo. Carol Doak was with us. She's a good friend of my good friend. We had such a blast!! It was my favorite of all the times I've been there. She was just getting famous with her paper piecing. Carol is one of the nicest, funniest people I know !

Ariannaquilts, you are going to have a hard time finding a room now. The very latest you should look for a place is the first week in January. Who knows, though, you could get lucky and find a cancellation somewhere, but I'm betting they even have names on a list for cancellations.

I know the town and the show like the back of my hand...Mom is one of the YoYo ladies too.
A friend and I are coming from Texas. We will be staying at the Paducah Harbor Bed and Breakfast. We will be flying into Nashville and driving to Paducah on the 17th arriving late. Where are the vendor booths set up?

If you've never been, you'll still be amazed at all the offerings. The big 'marshmallow' pavilion will be open with vendors and there will be vendors on all levels of the show. A couple hundred most likely. I loved the fall show and will be available to show you around then as well.

Vendor booths are all over. There are many in the main gallery, bunches upstairs in the wall quilt area and another bunch in the special display area in the 'basement' Then the Vendor's Pavilion (we call it the marshmallow) covers about an acre just down the street and it is full of vendors too. The old Finkle's Store on Kentucky Avenue has vendors and books. Don't miss Must Stitch Emporium in the Market House Square. A local shop with great folks. There's 'pop up' shops here and there that just come in and use unused retail space and Eleanor Burns has her Warehouse sale with tons of fabric and gadgets. Not to mention Hancocks with over an acre under roof. The Cherry Civic Center out on Park Avenue has an antique quilt show and there will be a bunch of vendors there too.

It is the week of my birthday, and only a 4-5 hr drive for me, and I have been planning for months to go and take my aunt with me. But she has been ill this winter, and is back on oxygen, so if looks like I will have to plan for another year. So disappointed!

This link has a lot of events explained: http://www.quiltweek.com/locations/spring-paducah/spring-paducah-sanctioned-events/

Eleanor's Warehouse is about a block behind her Quilt in A day Shop. Paper Pieces moved to Paducah and their shop is close to the convention center. I found the best lunch at the Rotary Club Exhibit on Park. Excellent BBQ. Easy to get too and the wait isn't long at all for lunch. I always do the show there, eat lunch there, and then head to Hancock's a few miles down the road. I have never found the right church on the right day that serve lunch. LOL

I'm going to the show and can hardly wait. I live here and all the Paducah Stitch 'n Quilt guild members are very excited too. I have 7 friends from the Medina, OH area that will be staying at the new Holiday Inn which is next to the convention center and two cousins and a friend staying at my house. It's great to sign up for classes as well as attend the show daily and walk all around town.

It truly takes Tuesday through Saturday to see everything. On Tuesday I go to the Cherry Civic Center on Park Avenue to see the antique quilts and vendors then drive to the red Finkel building on Kentucky Ave., drive to Eleanor's warehouse on Kentucky, drive back to the downtown area on Broadway and walk up and down and also go in the shops on Marketplace square including Must Stitch Emporium. If I still have time/energy I go to the Quilt museum.

Wednesday through Saturday is the quilt show!! I'm taking classes and lectures all day Friday. And, I'll be spending time with all my visitors. A great time of year for all quilt lovers!
