Well, I took this to my son and he just loved it. Did I mention his feet get cold at night and he loves green??

This was just something I made from 7 yards of home decor fabric I got at a Garage Sale for $1. I used the kaleidoscope book by Bethany Reynolds as a guide, but made it without a pattern.

Thanks for looking and for all the encouragement I find here daily!

Sides were finished wirh the original fabric

Used the green from the material to make sashing

Really nice and I think I have seen this fabric before. Never thought about using Home Dec fabric. Was it easy to sew on?
I have made capris out of home dec but found there is some fading etc. You may want to dry clean it when needed but that should not be very often. Good Job. Good Idea.

What an excellent idea, it really dresses up the bed as well as practical and I love your blend of colours.

It was very stable and easy to sew on. Other than slowing down there there was a lot of thickness...no problems at all.

Really Nice!! I picked up several vintage valances many years ago -- they are not faded -- and I have been wondering what I can do with it. This is a great idea.

That turned out great! Very useful and beautiful.

Do you happen to have a selvedge left with the mfg. info on it? I'd like to try to find some of this fabric (I know it's from the 90's), it matches my living room draperies.
