Wow! Good for you, I've made several of these and never got anywhere near that much, congratulation on finding someone willing to pay what all the effort is worth! Eventhough you may not be doing accurate piecing like some patterns, it is a lot of work and you did a fabulous job! Obviously she was pleased!

You definitley deserve the money, you did a fantastic job on this quilt, I've heard T-shirt quilts are not easy to do because of the stretching of the T-shirt fabric. This one you did is awesome.

You are my hero! Your quilt is amazing and it is great that you got paid well for your hard work. It is hard, almost impossible, putting value on our work but I think you deserve every penny. I am about to make two commissioned quilts fot the first time. One is for a friend's mother and I am doing it for free and the other is a fundraising quilt for my boy's Scout , of course also free. My hubby thinks that this will open the doors for more commissioned quilts that will pay but I am at loss as to how I would charge for them and also I am not sure that my skills are good enough for the world of professional quilting. According to my DH and DM my quilts are beautiful but they are family, not quilters, so they love anything i make even complete disasters. As I said in the beginning, you are my hero!
