This is for Janet My, she was curious to know if you could do a 10 minute block as a QAYG, here are some that I did. You will notice they are basically done with no set pattern as I was just trying to learn and experiement with new techniques (well new to me anyway since Im a total newbie). Anyway, here you go:

Made with fabric I snagged at Goodwill for .97

these are beautiful! did you do the quilting as well? i've made a baby quilt using this technique and i'm very pleased. it was easy and fun! did you find it fun also?

Oh I find the whole process fun from beginning to end. I pieced all the blocks, then cut a backing piece and a batting piece for each block (I dont make exact cut-to-fit backing and batting because I always square up after I quilt each piece). Sandwich those 3 pieces (I use either 505 or fusible batting by Hobbs), and quilt however you like. Its very easy to free motion or STD a block that is approx 19". After quilting I square each block, attach the joints and bind. It actually goes together pretty quick.
